On The Extreme Risk Of Societal Collapse From Solar Flares

In 1859, a solar flare called the Carrington Event occurred. We had a near miss in 2012, when a strong solar flare missed Earth by nine days.

If such an event were to occur today, it would knock out most of our electronics systems, including satellites, power grids, transportation infrastructure, the internet, water and sewage systems, and anything else relying on electricity.

Civilization would likely come to a standstill, resulting in the fallout of globally dimming aerosols.

It is important that we switch to forms of technology resistant to solar flares as soon as possible.
